10-point website conversion checklist

Most visitors decide fast. Use this list on any operator site — yours or a competitor’s — before you invest in a rebuild. Check the box only when the bar is truly met. No scores to invent; the goal is honest gaps.

From GIG website packages. No fabricated scores — check only what is true.

  1. 01

    One primary job

Homepage and key landings push one action (book, inquire, apply). Secondary links don’t compete equally with the primary CTA.

  2. 02

    CTA language is consistent

The same verb appears in nav, hero, and mid-page bands. Visitors never wonder which button is “the” button.

  3. 03

    Mobile pass at 375px

Type is readable, buttons are tappable, and nothing critical is clipped. Thumb-zone CTAs work without pinch-zoom.

  4. 04

    Forms complete the circuit

Submit reaches a real inbox or CRM. Success and error states are visible. Spam protection doesn’t block real people.

  5. 05

    Trust furniture is present

Who you are, where you operate, and any required licenses/disclaimers appear without hunting. Related brands aren’t mislabeled as one company.

  6. 06

    Proof is real

Portfolio links, photos, and claims are production-true. No placeholder copy, stock-as-team, or metrics you can’t defend.

  7. 07

    Speed is a feature

Hero media is sized; LCP isn’t a multi-megabyte surprise. The page feels usable on mid-tier mobile networks.

  8. 08

    SEO foundations exist

Unique titles/descriptions per key URL, sitemap, sensible headings, and share images. Not “rank #1 guaranteed” — crawlable and clear.

  9. 09

    After-click path is defined

You know what happens after the lead: human reply SLA, CRM stage, or automated follow-up. The site isn’t a black hole.

  10. 10

    You own the stack

Domain, hosting, and content access are in accounts you control — or you have a written plan to get there. No hostage page builder without consent.
